Kibo Safari Camp, Amboseli National Park
Kibo Safari Camp design incorporates an open terraced
restaurant and bar under acacia trees overlooking majestic Mt.
Kilimanjaro within the Amboseli dispersal area and borders the
Amboseli national reserve.
Kibo Safari camp offers 61 spacious self contained tents
sheltered by traditional African ‘Makuti' - (palm) thatched
roofs. All tents are en-suite with built in showers and toilets
(hot and cold running water), and power is supplied from a sound
proofed generator on site. Tent can be customized to sleep
singles, doubles triple or family bed configurations. The
showers are fitted with low pressure heads in efforts to be
environmentally friendly and not use too much water but at the
end of the day you still come 'home' to a hot shower.
At the Kibo safari camp emphasis is placed on the experience
of dining in the wild. Although meals are provided in a covered
restaurant and drinks in a traditional bar, visitors are kept
very close to the action by providing large, open areas with
seats and tables on them. In this way you are always right there
in the wild.
Activities include - game drive, balloon safaris and Masai
village tours
