Mount Kenya, Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara Safari | 7 Days Nairobi Kenya Safari to Mount Kenya, Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara

Aberdares National Park has a diverse topography that includes icy rivers, spectacular waterfalls and rain forests. The flora and fauna is quite unique and is not found elsewhere in the country, expect on Mount Kenya. Leopard, elephant, serval, waterbuck, reedbuck, dikdik, rhino and the rare bongo can all be found here. You are sure to see elephants, buffalos and some other animals at the floodlit waterholes of The Ark.

Day 1: Nairobi – Mount Kenya

Leave Nairobi in the morning passing through the town of Nyeri where Lord Baden Powell, the founder of the Boy Scouts movement, spent the last years of his life and is buried then  set out for the world-famous Mountain Lodge – a “tree hotel” located on the slopes of Mount Kenya offering some of the most unique views of the surrounding area’s wildlife – where you will enjoy lunch amid one of the most picturesque backgrounds filled with mountains and wildlife. The remainder of the day will be spent lounging around this amazing lodge, offering numerous opportunities to take in the environment and wildlife from a comfortable perch above it all before enjoying dinner in the evening.

Day 2: Mount Kenya -  Samburu

Leave the Tree Hotel and Mount Kenya after breakfast and drive north to Samburu National Reserve. You enjoy a game drive en-route to Samburu Serena Lodge, where you arrive at around 1400 hours in time for lunch. After lunch at the lodge, you have the early afternoon free, before going for an afternoon game drive, from 1530 hrs till dusk.

Dinner and overnight at Safari Lodge or Budget Camp in Samburu.

Day 3: Samburu

Full day in Samburu; pre-breakfast safari game viewing drive in the early morning to view Elephants, Leopards Rothschild Giraffes, Grevy's Zebras and large Nile Crocodiles lazing in the river, breakfast will be in the bush. Head back for lunch and escape the midday heat, relaxing at the comforts of your Safari Ldge/Budget Camp. Proceed game viewing drives in the afternoon from 4.00 pm till 06.00 pm. Dinner and overnight a Samburu safari lodge or budget camp.

Day 4: Samburu - Lake Nakuru

Early morning breakfast starting before sunrise and make a game drive in the park en-route to the gate and head south to Lake Nakuru National Park to through the Great Rift Valley viewing sceneries en-route, arriving to the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s Great masses of Flamingos. After lunch proceed for game drive in the Park with numerous Animals. By luck you have seen the big 5 by now, Rhinos are almost a guarantee when visiting Lake Nakuru. Dinner and ovenight in a Lake Nakuru safari Lodge or budget camp

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Depart Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara Game Reserve –j ewel of Kenya's Game Park. This enormous Reserve actually part of the vast Serengeti plains is famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is a true home of the big five-Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Cape Buffalo. Upon arrival, lunch will follow. After lunch, explore the reserve on a late evening 'Spice' game drive. In the evening, we relax around the camp/lodge fire before an excellent dinner. Dinner and overnight at a Masai Mara safari lodge or in a budget safari camp.

Day 6: Explore Masai Mara Game Reserve

The Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Morning and afternoon 'Spice' game drives are planned. Large mammals are varied, abundant and easy to see. Residents among the Parks mammals are; Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Impala, Zebra, Topi, both the Thomson's and Grant's Gazelles. Hot Air Balloon rides are available on this day at an additional cost. Dinner and overnight at a Masai Mara safari lodge or in a budget safari camp.

Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi

Begin today with a breakfast at your lodge/budget camp, followed by ‘Spice’ game drive en–route to Nairobi. The balance of the day is at leisure for last minute assisted shopping and sightseeing.
