Tanzania Safari; The Tarangire River in Tarangire

Depart from Arusha with packed lunch and proceed to
Arusha National Park. This park is 32kms away on the Northeast
of Arusha town. Beautifully located on the foot slopes of Mt.
Meru, this park is famous of its black and white Colobus monkey
and the seven Momella Lakes including the Ngurdoto Crater. Game
drive in the Park. Afternoon break for picnic lunch. At 14:00hrs
depart from Arusha National Park and drive to Tarangire for
dinner and overnight at one of the Lodges or Campsites. Morning full
game-drive in Tarangire National Park. The park takes its name
from the Tarangire River, which crosses it lengthwise, giving
support to a large wildlife population during the dry season.
During this season, between June and October, thousands of
animals including wildebeests, zebras, elands, elephants,
buffaloes, hartebeests, and more migrate from the dry Maasai
steppe to the Tarangire River. Not surprisingly, lions and other
predators find the place attractive. Afternoon return to the
lodge for lunch. At 15:30hrs leave Tarangire and proceed to
Ngorongoro arriving on time to enjoy a hot shower in preparation
for dinner and overnight at the Lodge or Campsite. After breakfast drive
down into the Ngorongoro crater for a full morning tour,
enjoying the beautiful scenery and amazing wildlife attractions.
This collapsed volcano is home to a large concentration of
wildlife including lion, rhino, hippo, hyena and elephant. In
the afternoon ascend the walls of the crater and drive back to
your lodge for lunch. Shortly after lunch leave Ngorongoro and
drive to Lake Manyara National Park for dinner and overnight at
the lodge or campsite. Full morning and early
afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park visiting the
natural hot springs and later on, drive across the acacia
woodland to look for tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara
National Park. Afternoon return to the lodge for lunch. Shortly
after lunch leave the lodge in Manyara and drive back to Arusha.
